Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will visit Bahrain on the 7th or 8th of January at the invitation of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa. The prime minister will be accompanied by a high-level delegation.
During the visit, Prime Minister Sharif will have meetings with the Bahraini king and PM. Apart from this, select ministers from the country will also be calling on Sharif during his visit.
The delegation-level talks and tête-à-tête with the king will focus on how bilateral relations in various fields can be improved. This includes energy cooperation, manpower employment, trade and investment, and defence.
Pakistan and Bahrain enjoy excellent bilateral relations in all fields. The two countries also closely cooperate at international forums like the UN and OIC.
