One killed in Quetta blast, four abducted in Zhob‏

One person was killed in an explosion on Quetta’s Sariab road on Monday.

A police official said that the explosion happened in Musa Colony, close to the railway track. He said the nature of the blast was yet to be confirmed.

“The blast severely damaged the dead person’s face,” he said, adding that the body has been shifted to civil hospital Quetta for identification.

FOUR KIDNAPPED:

Meanwhile, unidentified militants kidnapped four people in Zhob district.

Security officials said that armed men picked up four people while they were coming from Islamabad to Quetta near Zhob.

The kidnapped people were yet to be identified. Frontier Corps and Levies launched a search operation in the area to ensure their recovery.

The incident came a day after militants kidnapped five people from the same area. Four of them were identified as government officials, sources said.

The Zhob route from Quetta to Islamabad is frequently used by people and incidents of kidnappings have increased in the recent past.

The number of kidnapped people in Zhob over the past twenty hours has now risen to nine.
