Effective strategy will translate into strong Higher Ed in Punjab: Punjab HEC chairman

 A delegation of newly appointed vice chancellors from three universities in Punjab called on the Chairperson Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nizamuddin at his office.

The vice chancellors greeted the chairperson PHEC and assured him of their cooperation. The delegation comprised of Vice Chancellor University of Gujrat Dr. Zia ul Qayyum, Vice Chancellor University of Engineering & Technology Lahore Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid and Vice Chancellor Government College University Faisalabad Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah. The party presented different suggestions for faculty and staff development, and capacity building programs.

Speaking on the occasion Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nizamuddin said that after consultation with stakeholders, effective strategies would be chalked out to strengthen higher education in the province. He further stated that Punjab HEC would help bring the higher education sector of the province at par with international standards.

During the meeting, it was agreed that orientation workshops in the areas of human resource and finance would be organised for the staff at different universities within the region.
