Nobody ‘dictated’ Khan to call off PTI’s sit-in

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday said that the decision to end the Islamabad sit-in was his own and denied having ever received “dictation” from anyone in his entire life.

According to a statement, the PTI chief said it was the demand of the nation from the political leadership to come on the same page in wake of the Peshawar massacre, adding that nobody telephoned him to end the sit-in which was staged by PTI to protest against alleged poll rigging.

“The political leadership has, for the first time, joined hands to take up the challenge of fighting terrorists,” Khan said.

He said his party would not return to the assemblies until the proposed Judicial Commission (JC) announces results in connection with the alleged rigging of 2013 General Elections.

The PTI chief said that the election tribunal will announce results of investigation into alleged rigging in NA-122 by Monday.

“Any statement in this regard before the official announcement will be like match-fixing,” he added.
