Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that the decisions taken by the national leadership to counter terrorism meet the expectations of the nation.
The governor met Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday and the two leaders discussed the implementation of the National Action Plan.
The CM lauded the unanimous decision of the All Parties’ Conference (APC) to fight against terrorism and termed the unanimous decision as a practical approach by political leaders.
‘It’s heartening that the national leadership has trusted Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and vowed to support him till the end,” he added.
Moreover, Shahbaz said that extraordinary situations require extraordinary measures and that the decision of the APC would eliminate terrorism from the country.
“The time has come for the practical implementation of APC’s decision so that terrorists would pay for their barbarism,” said Shahbaz.
