Vendors’ businesses soar ahead of Eid Milad-un-Nabi

The vendors selling banners, badges, stickers, flags and fancy lights are doing brisk business these days as Eid Miladun Nabi preparation are in full swing in the twin cities.

The vendors in Islamabad and Rawalpindi have set up stalls for the sale of banners, badges, stickers, flags and fancy lights inscribed with slogans paying respect and reverence to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

A vendor, Ghulam Hussain, who was selling stickers and flags said that religious festivals always bring good business for them.

He said that particularly children are enthusiastically purchasing buntings, posters, stickers and flags to decorate their houses and vehicles.

“Decorative items are in high demand these days,” said another vendor Abid Ali at G-7 market.

Another vendor Ahmad Ali said that this year, flags and stickers are in high demand, adding that they daily earn Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,000 by selling these decorative items.

He said that the business of these items at all big shops as well as roadside vendors has reached its peak, which shows the zeal of people belonging to all ages for the upcoming festival.

Streets and roads in different parts of the city are being decorated, as preparations are in full swing to celebrate Eid Miladun Nabi in a befitting manner with religious fervour.
