Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Friday asked for a list of potential candidates for the posts of provincial party president for three provinces, and Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari is likely to get a post, a news channel reported.
According to details, restructuring in the party on a large scale is likely to occur.
Zardari has decided to replace the presidents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Sindh and Punjab with fresh faces. Moreover, a committee has been formed comprising Raja Pervez Ashraf, Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Yousaf Raza Gilani, Faisal Kareem Kundi and Faryal Talpur to recommend candidates for the provincial presidents’ position.
According to the channel, the presidents of the PPP’s youth and student bodies would also be replaced.
