Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed the hope that the new year will bring “real peace” to Pakistan.
In his message on the beginning of the new year, the CM said that Year 2015 will prove to be the year of elimination of terrorism from the country, adding that the new year will usher in a “new era of progress and prosperity”. He said that the dream of a peaceful, developed and prosperous Pakistan will materialise in the new year.
“Terrorists will be rooted out from the country with the unified force of 180 million people of Pakistan and the country will be made safe and secure for the coming generations.”
In his new year message, the CM said that Pakistan will be made an Islamic welfare state in accordance with the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal, adding that the supremacy of law, justice and constitution will be ensured.
“The country will be freed from oppression, malpractices and corruption and equal opportunities of progress will be made available to all citizens,” said Shahbaz.
“We will fulfill our promise to change the thana culture,” said the CM, adding that best services will be made available to the people.
“Year 2015 will bring a new hope to the nation and by adopting the golden principles of honesty, hard work and commitment, the country will be transformed in accordance with the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammah Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal”.
