Two primary schools set ablaze in Kurram

 

Unidentified men set on fire two government primary schools in Kurram Agency on Tuesday.

According to sources, the incidents occurred in Manndan and Kanddali Baba areas of the agency where unidentified miscreants set ablaze two government primary schools.

The schools were completely engulfed by the fire. However, no loss of life was reported. The security forces cordoned off the entire area after the incidents and started investigation.

It is worth mentioning that more than 60 government schools have been destroyed by terrorists in the past five years in Kurram Agency.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan has strongly condemned the attacks.

“The cowardly attacks by militants cannot dampen our morale and as a nation are united to combat terrorism,” he said.

SUI GAS PIPEPINE, RAILWAY TRACK BLOWN UP:

In a separate incident, unidentified miscreants blew up a 24-inch diameter gas pipeline in Sui area of Dera Bugti, suspending the gas supply to some parts of Punjab.

According to police sources, some unidentified miscreants planted explosives under the gas pipeline located near Dolli check post in Tehsil Sui.

The pipeline was completely destroyed in the blast due to which gas supply to some parts of Punjab has been suspended.

Personnel of Frontier Corps and Levies Force reached the spot and cordoned off the area for a search operation.

The authorities have started work to repair the damaged gas pipeline after security clearance.

In the meanwhile, unidentified miscreants also blew up a railway track in Mushaf area of Bolan on Tuesday, suspending train service in the area.

BULLET-RIDDLED BODIES FOUND IN TURBAT:

Separately, Levies personnel recovered three bullet-riddled bodies from Balochistan’s Turbat district on Tuesday.

Levies sources said that the bodies were found in the Mand area of Turbat. Local residents in Mand had spotted the bodies and had informed Levies personnel.

The bodies were later shifted to a hospital for identification. A large number of people gathered at the hospital to see the bodies, Levies said.

“The victims had received multiple bullet wounds,” Levies sources said, adding that the victims were shot from a close range.
