The crime branch personnel arrested five terror suspects from Lyari’s Agra Taj Colony in Karachi.
SSP Shahjahan of Crime Branch II has said that the accused were involved in an attack in Peshawar in which they killed SSP Khursheed Khan and set the police post on fire.
The accused have disclosed in interrogation that they had smuggled explosives to Karachi by oil tankers from Waziristan and were planning a terror attack in the port city, police said. According to police, the accused were also involved in murder, kidnapping for ransom and other heinous crimes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Police also captured five kilograms of explosives and munitions from their possession.
