Boxer Amir Khan calls on PM, says terrorism will be eliminated

Pakistani-British boxer Amir Khan on Tuesday called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and expressed his condolences over the deadly Taliban attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar.

The meeting was held at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad.

During the meeting, the premier told Amir Khan that operation Zarb-e-Azb has been producing good results in curbing terrorism. He said terrorism will soon be eliminated from the country.

PM Nawaz also discussed ways of promoting boxing in the country. “Pakistan is proud of Amir Khan’s achievements in the sport,” Nawaz said.

On this occasion, Amir Khan extended condolences over the loss of lives in Peshawar incident and condemned the terrorist attack in the strongest possible terms. He told the Prime Minister about his plan to set-up a boxing Academy in Pakistan.

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar and Political Secretary Dr. Asif Kirmani were also present in the meeting.
