*Retailers charging Rs 240 per kg for LPG which is Rs 90 higher than the set price
Price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) was once again illegally skyrocketed to Rs 240 per kilogram as demand has surged during extremely cold weather in Lahore and Rawalpindi and extremely low pressure of Sui gas has forced citizens to shift to LPG.
As per details, official rate of LPG is Rs 150 per kilogram but most of LPG station owners are overcharging consumers.
The district administration stated that preparations have been finalised to take action against the shop owners who are overcharging.
In this regard, special teams led by magistrates have been formed in different parts of the province to monitor areas where LPG retailers were overcharging from the consumers.
