7-day remand for accused in PTI worker murder case

Faisalabad Additional and Sessions Judge has remanded to police custody three people accused in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) worker Haq Nawaz murder case for seven days and directed police to produce them in the court on January 3.

The accused including Hafiz Irfan, Ilyas Toti and Usman Cheemi were charged with killing PTI worker Haq Nawaz before the arrival of Imran Khan in Faisalabad near Novelty Bridge. The other seven people accused in this case have also been arrested.

Former law minister Rana Sana Ullah, his son in law Rana Shehr Yar, Faisalabad DCO Noorul Amin Mengal, State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali and 300 other people were named in the FIR.
