Two foreigners among 83 suspects arrested in Islamabad

Islamabad police have arrested 83 suspects during search operations in different areas of the federal capital after the civil and military leadership decided to launch a countrywide crackdown against terrorists following the attack by Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) terrorists in Army Public School Peshawar which killed 150 people, mostly children.

According to details, 83 suspects were apprehended during search operations conducted in the wee hours of the night in the suburban areas of the federal capital. According to police sources, weapons and narcotics were recovered from possession of the nabbed suspects.

The operation was launched in Islamabad areas include Mirabadi, Golra Sharif, Sabzi Mandi and Afghan Basti.

Police sources said there are two foreigners arrested among the suspects arrested.
