Police arrest 26 lawbreakers, seize contraband

The police under its ongoing drive against anti-social elements have arrested 26 lawbreakers and recovered 3570 grams charras, 15 liter wine, eight pistols 30 bore with 32 rounds, one rifle 12 bore with 10 rounds, two revolvers with five rounds and fireworks items from the possession of the arrested accused.

According to Rawalpindi police spokesman, Bunni police held Bilal for having 510 grams charras. New Town police recovered over 500 grams charras from the possession of Mir Zaman. Westridge police rounded up Danish Khan for carrying 1120 grams charras while Abdul Samad, Ismail, Mansoor Ahmed and Atif were sent behind the bars on recovery of charras.

Waris Khan police netted Azhar and Ishtiaq and recovered 10 liter wine.

New Town police booked Syed Muhammad Jan with five liter wine.

Other accused were arrested for having illegal weapons.

Waris Khan police booked Kamran and Naqash and recovered fireworks items while Waris Khan police nabbed Khurram Yousaf and Yasir Ali for possessing 100 kites and 80 kite flying string rolls.

10 OUTLAWS, 44 ENCROACHERS ARRESTED:

Islamabad Police have arrested 10 outlaws and 44 encroachers from various areas of the city and recovered 2.220 kilogram hashish, weapons and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said.

According to details, Secretariat police arrested bootleggers Mushtaq and recovered three wine bottles from him. Ramana police arrested drug peddler Waziir and recovered 1.200 kilogram hashish from him. Sabzi Mandi police arrested three accused Iftikhar, Adnan and Usman for having weapons and eight cans of beer from them.

Police team also arrested two afghan nationals namely Faryad and Khanzada residing illegally in the country.

Sabzi Mandi Police arrested 44 accused for erecting encroachments and blocking roads. ShehzadTown police arrested Khalid Khan and recovered 30 bore pistol from him. CIA police arrested drug peddler Tahir Raza and recovered 1.20 kilogram hashish from him.

Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
