MQM offers its manpower for schools’ security

The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Saturday announced that it was ready to provide all its manpower for the security of schools in the wake of deadly attack on Peshawar school.

“Parents are extremely concerned about the safety of their kids in schools” MQM leader Farooq Sattar said while addressing a press conference.

Commenting on national leadership’s decision to establish military courts in the country, he said it was a temporary solution, adding that the MQM supported the decision after strong assurances.

The MQM leader said Altaf Hussain was the first and only leader to inform the nation about ‘Talibanization’ in Karachi.

“Had the National Counter Terrorism Plan (NCTP) been taken seriously in 2013, many incidents could have been prevented,” he lamented.

Recalling NCTP, Sattar said the MQM proposed neighborhood watch in community and local community policing to counter terrorism.

He said protection of the judges should be made mandatory.
