IGP orders strict security for Chup Tazia procession

Sindh Inspector General of Police Ghulam Haider Jamali has directed the police officials to ensure strict security for the processions and majalis of Chup Tazia.

He instructed the officials to take effective security measures on district and police stations level with coordination of religious scholars and organisers. Beside this, he ordered for extra ordinary security measures around 460 imam bargahs, 4,317 mosques and 251 shrines in city.

The police chief directed to devise a contingency plan for Karachi, Hyderabad and Sukkur ranges.

Jamali ordered to enhance snap checking at all exit and entry points in the province, particularly in big cities. The random snap checking and enhanced patrolling in sensitive areas of the cities were also ordered by the Sindh police chief.

He also ordered to accelerate targeted operations and raids against criminal elements on police station level under the joint action plan.
