BB’s death anniversary: Police draws up security plan

Sindh police has drawn up a security plan for the seventh death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto on December 27. At least 2,900 police commandos, reserve forces and traffic police have been deployed in parts of Larkana to ensure security on Benazir Bhutto’s death anniversary today.

A master security plan has been devised by the Sindh police to ensure security on Benazir’s death anniversary. According to security plan, hundred commanders of special investigation unit, modern and armoured vehicles would be provided in Larkana.

Some 300 commandos of Sindh police’s Rapid Response Force (RRF) and 293 traffic police officers would arrive in Larkana tonight.

Seven DSPs, four inspectors and 83 sub-inspectors have been appointed to control the traffic. Female officers of special security unit will also perform their duties to prevent any untoward incident. Moreover, a Bomb Disposal Squad (BSD) would also be present at the public rally outside the mausoleum to ensure security.
