While talking to journalists outside the Parliament House Tuesday, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Babar Awan has said that the government should eliminate no-go areas from Islamabad.

The senator said that the Afghan refugees have taken Islamabad into illegal occupation by setting up slums. Such illegal occupations have posed serious threats to the federation, he claimed.

The government should put an end to this “land mafia” and ensure rule of law in the federal capital.

Responding to a question, Awan said that the government was still not looking serious as seven days had elapsed but no clear agenda of the action plan committee had come to fore.
