SIALKOT-
A crossfire between Pakistani and Indian border security forces was reported early on Wednesday in Sialkot’s Bara Bhai Sector.
Reports said that Indian forces opened fire at a Pakistani post. 14 mortar shells as well as gunshots were fired by the Indian side.
Pakistani forces retaliated to the unprovoked firing. The crossfire spread panic in the area, however, no loss of life was reported.
Exchanges of sporadic fire are common along the de facto border dividing the region and the working boundary, despite a ceasefire pact signed in 2003.
More than 20 civilians have been killed and several houses destroyed since the worst frontier shelling by Indian troops broke out in October.
Rangers say India has broken all previous records of the shelling at the Line of Control (LoC) and the working boundary , firing more than 31500 mortar shells, more than that of fired in 1971 war between the two countries.
KEEP FIRING ACROSS INTERNATIONAL BORDERS – DO BULLETS GROW ON JUNGLE TREES OR DO BULLETS COST MONEY ? PRECIOUS MONEYS WHICH COULD BE USED TO FEED HUNGRY CHILDREN ?
