An Anti-Terrorism Court-II (ATC-II) on Tuesday remanded three alleged Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) activists to police custody till January 5 in an explosives material and illegal weapons case.
Police produced all the three accused, Muhammad Nadeem, Abid Ali and Noor-ul-Rasheed before the ATC-II judge under tight security.
Investigation officer requested the court that police needed their physical custody to map out their connections and trace their involvement in other criminal activities. The court accepted the police request and remanded the accused to police custody.
According to prosecution, CID police arrested all the accused and recovered illegal weapons and explosive substance from their possession.
A case FIR was lodged at Site A police station under Sections 23IA and 4/5 of the Pakistan Penal Code read with Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act.
