The Supreme Court (SC) has set December 30 for regular hearing of Metro Bus Project (MBP) case and issued notices to Capital Development Authority CDA chairman, environment secretary and others.
A three-member bench of SC presided over by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Nasirul Mulk will hear the case against MBP on a letter written by Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed from Pakistan Muslim League–Quaid (PML-Q).
The CJP has constituted two benches to hear different cases at SC principal seat at Islamabad. Bench No 1 is led by the CJP comprising Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and Justice Dost Muhammad Khan while Bench No 2 comprises Justice Ejaz Afzal and Justice Qazi Faiz Essa.
