Eight more terrorists to be sent to gallows in 24 hours

HYDERABAD/FAISALABAD-

Arrangements have been finalized to execute eight more convicted terrorists in Hyderabad and Faisalabad jails in 24 hours, a private news channel reported on Tuesday.

Out of the eight convicts, three are imprisoned in Hyderabad jail.

Shahsawar and Shabbir, two in the waiting row, were sentenced to death in Pakistan International Airlines(PIA) plane hijacking case in 1998.

While in district jail Faisalabad, four terrorists are facing the noose.

Nawaz Ali and Ghulam Nabi were involved in attack on Pervez Musharraf while Mushtaq Ahmed and Abdul Malik were handed down death penalty in Rawalpindi bank attack.The jail administration has received their death warrants.

Muhammad Nawaz, another death row prisoner, is likely to be sent to gallows in Bahawalpur jail. He was convicted by Rawalpindi anti-terrorism court for his involvement in sectarian riots and bomb blasts.

According to the sources, convicted persons could be hanged anytime as their death warrants have been received.

Sources reported that government has planned to execute around 500 militants in coming days.

Six convicts have alreadybeen hanged after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif lifted a moratorium on executions in terror cases.
