At least two children were injured in a blast that took place Tuesday due to gas produced in a lime pile at a vacant plot in Harbanspura area of Lahore.
According to details, the children were playing in the plot when the explosion occurred. The intense blast was felt by several people residing in the vicinity.
Rescue teams and police arrived at the scene. The injured children are reportedly out of danger.
Initial reports revealed that the gas which was produced in the pile of lime caused the explosion.
According to the police, the area has been declared clear by the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS).
