Islam does not allow the murder of children and women and his party always condemns such acts of terrorism said Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-S) chief Maulana Samiul Haq on Sunday while talking to JUI-S Secretary Information Maulana Asim Makhdoom over the telephone.
Haq, however, cautioned that the government will have to take decisions after thorough soul-searching to deal with terrorism. He warned that if the government tried to target religious institutions, the country would further sink into crises.
He said in case there is any warning that any institution was behind terrorism, it should be identified to them and they would help in taking action against it.
He rejected the propaganda of his links with the Taliban and pointed out that he and his team started talks with the Taliban upon asking of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He said that they only joined the dialogue to rid the country of terrorism but whatever happened is before everybody.
