The flight operation at Allama Iqbal International Airport was disrupted as dense fog blanketed the entire provincial capital on Sunday.

As per details, a private airplane carrying the Pakistani cricket team, flying in from Dubai was not able to land at the airport due to the heavy fog whereas the administration had suspended all the flights as a precautionary measure to avoid any accident.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (MET), the visibility at the airport was dropped to 50 metre due to which all the flights were deferred.

Moreover, motorway police have closed the Motorway M2 from Lahore to Kot Momin and M3 from Pindi Bhattian to Faisalabad due to zero visibility.
