Islamabad police have arrested 19 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered 55 wine bottles, two illegal pistols and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said Saturday.
According to details, Kohsar police arrested bootleggers Sakhawat Ali and recovered 30 wine bottles from him. Bhara Kahu Police recovered one 30 bore illegal pistol along with ammunition from arrested accused Sheriz Balouch. Lohi Bher Police recovered one 30 bore pistol from Amir Hussain. A police team also arrested bootlegger Wajid Hussain and recovered 25 wine bottles from him. Tarnol Police arrested four accused namely Muhammad Muddasar, Muhammad Waqas, Muhammad Waseem and Naveed Akhtar involved in dacoity.
Furthermore police arrested 11 beggars. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway. Islamabad SSP Asmatullah Junejo has appreciated this overall performance of the police and directed all police officials to accelerate their efforts to curb such elements.
