Red Zone cleared of containers

After the end of sit-in by Pakistan Tehrik e Insaaf, Interior Ministry has removed all the containers from the Red Zone area and the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has started the cleanliness of the area.

PTI chief Imran Khan announced the end of sit in on Wednesday night and the party workers moved out of the area by Thursday morning.

With no security threat, the capital police removed containers from the Red Zone and Parade Avenue with the help of cranes and Rangers were withdrawn from the Parliament House.

According to CDA officials, the green belt and flower plants have been badly damaged by the sit-ins and it would take about a month to restore the beauty of the green belts.
