The Punjab Assembly on Tuesday unanimously passed a resolution condemning the terrorist attack on a school in Peshawar in which 141 people, including 132 students, were killed by Taliban fighters, terming it the worst incident of barbarity in the country’s history.
The assembly session was also adjourned for least three days in consideration of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s proclamation of three-day national mourning.
The lawmakers urged unity among the people of the country and support for the Pakistan Army and its operations against terrorism. They also expressed solidarity with all the grieving families.
