ICCI condoles with bereaved families of Peshawar carnage

Acting Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) President Muhammad Shakeel Munir, Vice President Muhammad Ashfaq Hussain Chatha, executive members and local business community in a meeting at ICCI have expressed heartfelt condolence with the bereaved families of Peshawar carnage and prayed that may Allah keep the departed souls in peace.

Addressing the meeting, Munir strongly condemned the brutal attack on Army Public School at Warsak Road, Peshawar in which around 141 people including 132 school children were killed and termed it a barbaric act against the humanity. He said the whole nation including business community of the country was deeply shocked and grieved over this national tragedy and fully stands with the bereaved families in this critical hour.

He said the ghastly act of killing innocent children and teachers indicated that the terrorists were not only the enemies of Pakistan, they were the enemies of humanity. He said terrorists could not enfeeble the resolve of the government, armed forces and the nation to rid the country of the menace of terrorism as Pakistan could never make sound economic development without ending terrorism and establishing peace in the country.
