The Child Rights Movement (CRM) Pakistan held a protest in front of Islamabad Press Club Wednesday against the brutal killing of children at Army Public School Peshawar.

The protest was joined by a number of civil society activists including EVAWG Alliance who strongly condemned targeting children.

The CRM representatives termed the attack against Islamic injunctions and international humanitarian laws. No law on earth including Islam has ever legitimized the victimisation of children. They said that foreseeing the security threats in Peshawar the government must provided foolproof security to the schools.

Talking to the media, Ms Farzana Bari said that this is a national tragedy and it is now time for the civil society to come together to take steps for their security.

The CRM demanded that children should be protected and the state should never forget this tragedy and come up with a clear security policy in this regard. CRM Pakistan announced three days mourning across the country.
