General Sharif vows to go after ‘inhuman beasts’, says terrorists hit ‘heart of the nation’
Expressing his resolve to eliminate terrorism from the country following the deadly terrorist attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar’s Warsak Road area, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif Tuesday said that terrorists have hit at the “heart of the nation” and they will have to pay for spilling the blood of innocent schoolchildren and other people.
“Let me reiterate they can’t in any way diminish the will of this great nation. The nation’s resolve has taken new height following this incident,” General Sharif said, adding that the cowardly act of killing innocents clearly indicates that the terrorists were not only enemies of Pakistan but also the enemies of humanity.
“We will continue to go after inhuman beasts and their facilitators till their final elimination,” the COAS said, adding that several operations based on actionable intelligence have been put into action including 10 airstrikes in Khyber.
COAS HAS CONFIDENCE IN BALOCHIS:
Earlier, while addressing the passing out parade of Balochistan recruits in Quetta, the COAS said that a handful of elements spreading hatred and terrorism in Balochistan would be defeated completely and the province would soon become a land of peace.
Gen Sharif said it is a matter of satisfaction that the people of Balochistan have rejected all the anti-state elements and they would meet their fate.
The COAS said that Pakistan Army was a symbol of national unity and induction of Balochi youth in its ranks from every corner of the province showed that it belonged to them as well. He said each and every Balochi citizen was the country’s pride, adding that the army wished to promote education in the province.
“I am confident that the youth of Balochistan will not lag behind in defending their motherland,” General Sharif said.
The COAS also praised the provincial government for playing its role in the development of Balochistan. “Maintaining law and order is the government’s top priority and the army provides its full assistance to them,” he said.
Earlier, speaking at the ceremony, Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Malik said it is for the first time that such a large number of Balochistan’s young people are being inducted in the Pakistan Army. A total of 580 cadets belonging to different parts of Balochistan passed out after course completion.
These people are animals and can never be engaged in dialogue or warfare. Give them all the afghan border and let them have a state of their own. Practise sharia. Kill rach other. Good bye and good riddens!!
