Senate body would like those lodges tidied

Senate Standing Committee on Finance’s Sub-Committee in its meeting called for creating a proper work plan regarding the cleanliness and hygienic of the Parliament House and Parliament Lodges.

The sub-committee’s first meeting was chaired by Senator Mushahid was held Tuesday at the Parliament House. The meeting primarily focused on proper allocation of funds and their utilisation for ensuring hygienic conditions at the Parliament House as well as the lodges in addition of maintenance of the buildings.

Committee Convener Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed proposed for stronger coordination with the parliament to ensure optimum use of existing work force as well as resources.

The sub-committee looked into the budget allocation, expenditures and pending liabilities and asked the representations of Capital Development authority to bring a work plan in the next meeting scheduled to be held on December 29, 2014.

The meeting was attended among others by Senator Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, Additional Secretary Senate Dr Pervais Abbas, Joint Secretary Senate Maj (r) Husnain Haider, Haque Nawaz from Finance Division, Dr Nawaz Ahmed from Finance Division and Faisal Saeed Cheema form CDA.
