Wider gas pipeline approved for Morgah, Kotha Kalan

A new gas pipeline costing Rs 15 million has been approved for Union Councils Kotha Kalan and Morgah has been approved by Petroleum Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbas and the file has been forwarded to headquarters at Lahore for approval.

According to details, the pipeline will be 2.5 kilometres long and six inches wide.

The new pipeline will reportedly be connected with the main pipeline on Jhelum Road. The survey of these areas has been conducted.

It should be mentioned here that the gas crisis has reached alarming levels in Morgah and Kotha Kalan. The gas pipeline through which gas is being supplied to these areas is only 1.5 inch wide. The areas of Kotha Kalan and Morgah which are worst affected in the gas crisis are Dhok Mira, Bareen Road, Upra Morr, Band Mora and Jari.
