Asif urges political parties to shun differences in national interest

Federal minster terms ‘prevailing politics of conflict a conspiracy to split the nation’, says govt’s tolerance should not be misconstrued as its weakness

Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif has urged all political parties to shun their political differences and join hands with the government to find amicable solutions to all the problems being faced by the nation and the country.

Addressing the participants of an open court at Central Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) House Paris Road, Sialkot, the minister said that the government was promoting the politics of tolerance, passion and reconciliation.

However, he added that the PML-N government’s tolerance and passion should not be taken as its weakness.

“The prevailing politics of conflict are a conspiracy to split the nation,” said Asif, urging that such politics should be shunned as they were great financial losses to the national economy

Earlier, addressing party workers, the PML-N leader said the government was fulfilling all its political promises gradually.

The government is raising the living standard of the people by ensuring the early and smooth provision of all basic facilities to the people at their door steps, said Asif.

“The government is well aware of the perturbing problems of the masses and is making hectic efforts to overcome the inherited menace of the prevailing energy crisis, control price hike, end unemployment, alleviate poverty and create maximum job opportunities for the masses,” asserted the minister.
