Former chief justice of Pakistan (CJP) Abdul Hameed Dogar Wednesday challenged the Special Court’s decision in treason case under Article-VI against former president Gen (r) Pervez Musharraf.
Challenging the Special Court’s jurisdiction in his petition, Dogar contended that he had nothing to do with the proclamation of Emergency on November 3, 2007.
Advocate Iftikhar Hussain Gillani has filed Dogar’s petition in Islamabad High Court challenging the Special Court’s decision. The Special Court and Pervez Musharraf have been made party in the petition.
Previously, the three-judge Special Court headed by Sindh High Court’s Justice Faisal Arab had ordered the government to investigate the role of Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar, former prime minister Shaukat Aziz and former law minister Zahid Hamid as abettors in the case.
