Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah on Wednesday requested freshly-appointed Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Justice (r) Sardar Raza Khan to take notice of election tribunal’s procedure.
Talking to reporters at his chamber in the Parliament House, Shah said the candidate with second highest votes was declared winner after the election tribunal forwarded the rigging complaint whereas re-elections were suggested on rigging allegations in Punjab.
Why was a dual policy maintained by the election tribunal in regard to rigging probe in Punjab and Sindh, he questioned.
