Capital cops want ‘bonus’ they were promised by interior minister

Islamabad police personnel have decided to resort to court against non payment of allowances for discharging duties during sit-ins by Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the federal capital.

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had announced to pay bonus salary and daily allowance at the rate of Rs 500 to Islamabad police employees for performing their duties during ‘Azadi’ March and ‘Inqilab’ March, they said, adding that deduction has been made from the salary of police personnel who were injured during the sit-ins by PAT and PTI.

Around 8,000 police personnel have decided to move high court against non payment of bonus and daily allowance and deduction of salaries.
