Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has approved the construction of 1,000 schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Sharif had earlier announced that the government will construct schools in KP areas that were hit by the 2005 earthquake.
The education centres will be made in Shangla, Batgaram, Mansehra and Abbottabad at a cost of Rs 8 billion.
The prime minister has instructed the concerned authorities to complete the projects within a year.
