The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 has remained at the top of the US Box Office, for the second week in a row, over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend (27th-30th November).
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 continues its streak at No.1 in the US Box Office. In early weekend estimates, the film has made $56 million. The movie, which stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, will have made more than $226 million in the US alone, according to reports in Variety.
Mockingjay – Part 1 has made more than double the profits of the film in second place, Penguins of Madagascar. Penguins of Madagascar is a new entry this week and features the voices of Tom McGrath, Chris Miller and Christopher Knights.
Big Hero 6 earned an estimated $19 million and was closely followed by another movie now in its fourth week at the Box Office, Interstellar. Interstellar, the latest Christopher Nolan sci-fi starring Matthew Mcconaughey and Anne Hathaway, earned $15.9 million.Interstellar was closely followed by a new comer, comedy Horrible Bosses 2, which came in at fifth place with $15.5 million.
