PML-N to continue efforts for public welfare projects: Punjab CM

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), government will continue efforts for the welfare of the people of this country.

He said that steps have been taken to improve the infrastructure in health, education, energy and other sectors.

He said that all the energy projects would be completed in near future to remove the electricity crisis in the country.

Talking to a private television channel, he said that protest demonstration and sit-ins launched by Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI), had halted the economic activity besides an official tour of Chinese President to Pakistan.

Expressing dismay over the negative attitude of Imran Khan, Chief Minister said that Pakistan had suffered a lot due to sit-ins and protest demonstration of PTI chief.

He said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and General Raheel Sharif had visited China to revive the economy for the benefit of the people of this region.

He said that Pakistan was making progress before the protest demonstration and sit-ins of PTI.

He said that PTI chief holds negative behavior, adding that Imran Khan was an expert of U-Turn. Replying to a question he said that Imran Khan had congratulated Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for winning the election 2013.

Shahbaz Sharif said that Imran Khan had accepted the victory of PML-N after the elections 2013.

He said that PTI chief had never supported the operation Zarb-e-Azb, launched to flush out terrorists from this region.

CM said that Pakistan Army and the people belonging to all segments of society had given unprecedented sacrifices for fighting war on terrorism.

To another question he said that PTI chief should help internally displaced persons (IDPs), and resolve the problems of the KPK.

Punjab chief minister said that PTI chief was wasting time through public meetings and halting the economic activity besides foreign investment.

To a question he said that PTI should bring evidence of corruption in the metro bus service projects. He said that the public welfare project was completed in a transparent manner.

Shahbaz Sharif said that PML-N government is sincerely working for the progress and prosperity of the people of this country.

  1. Demonstrating for ones rights is part of a the democratic process, it should not hinder the governments day to day running of the country, before the demonstrations they hardly turned up for work at the Parliament Buildings.

    More so, they are now under the public scrutiny, now the Nation demands the breakdown of the costs for any proposed project, and who the beneficiaries might be.

    Also our Chinese "friends" are quiet well known on the International stage for corrupt business practices .
