LAHORE-
An Election Tribunal on Saturday summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on December 6 to record his statement as it began hearing of petition pertaining to vote rigging in NA-122.
According to media reports, six PTI witnesses recorded their statements before the tribunal.
Khan had filed the application against alleged rigging in National Assembly constituency NA-122, from where NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq won the election in May 2013. Earlier this month, the Lahore High Court dismissed Sadiq’s petition seeking to stop election tribunal proceedings initiated on the plea of Khan.
