Nine shisha smokers, 22 lawbreakers including four suspected robbers arrested in Pindi while capital cops arrest 10 outlaws
The police have arrested nine shisha smokers from the area of New Town Police Station.
According to Rawalpindi Police spokesman, New Town Police acting on a tip-off conducted a raid at a shisha centre and arrested nine indentified as Aqib, Ahmed, Babar, Usama and others.
The police also seized hookahs and other items being used for shisha smoking.
The Rawalpindi Police, under the special operation launched on the orders of Rawalpindi Regional Police Officer (RPO) Akhtar Umar Hayat and CPO Hamyoun Bashir Tarar, taking action against shisha centers and the shisha smokers were being sent behind the bars, he said.
22 LAWBREAKERS NABBED IN PINDI:
Moreover, the police under its ongoing drive against anti-social elements have arrested 22 lawbreakers including four suspected dacoits and recovered 5,260 grams of marijuana, 25 bottles of liquor, three pistols 30 bore with 11 rounds, one pistol 32-bore with three rounds, one repeater pump action and fireworks items from their possession.
According to police spokesman, RA Bazar Police on an information conducted a raid in Jhawara Ground and nabbed four suspected dacoits namely Qasir Abbas, Nair Abbas, Ijaz and Fayyaz who were allegedly hatching a plan to commit a robbery.
The police seized four pistols 30-bore with 33 rounds from them. Other accused were sent behind the bars for having drugs, liquor and illegal weapons.
10 ARRESTED IN CAPITAL:
In the meanwhile, the Islamabad Police have arrested 10 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered stolen bike and illicit pistol from their possession, a police spokesman said here on Saturday.
According to details, Golra Police arrested a thief Shafi Ullah and recovered stolen bike from him. On tip off Industrial Area police arrested 03 accused namely Faisal Mehmood, Nasir Mehmood, and Azhra bibi involved in immoral activities. Police team also arrested five accused Waqas Ahmed, Rafiullah,Fiqeer Hussain, Essay Khan, and said Wali involved in theft.
Koral Police recovered one 30 bore pistol along with ammunition from the possession of arrested accused Imtaiz Ahmed. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
