Islamabad Secretariat Police Friday arrested three people including two Afghan nationals for their alleged involvement in a murder case.

Islamabad police spokesperson said that an unidentified body was found from Lake View Park on August 22, 2014 in the area of Secretariat Police Station. It was established after a medical report that the deceased was strangulated to death and his body was dumped in that area after slitting his throat.

Following the incident, on the directives of Islamabad Inspector General Police Tahir Alam Khan, a special team was constituted under supervision of Superintendent Police (City) Rizwan Gondal which included Secretariat Police Station Station House Officer Inspector Nawaz Bhatti, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Shafique and others. The deceased was identified through his finger prints as Fiaz Ali, a resident of Sialkot and his family was contacted to hand over the body. The mobile number of the deceased was obtained from his family and investigation was started.

During the investigation, it came to the fore that Ali received last call near Golra railway station from Mamoor Shah of Afghanistan. He was apprehended by the police team who revealed that he killed Ali along with his accomplices Ali Khan, a resident of Afghanistan, and cab driver Zahoor Ahmed. It was also revealed that Ali had been residing in the area of Mira Badia five years back but he shifted to Sialkot when Khan and Shah created problems for his family members.
