Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) central leader and National Assembly (NA) member Hamza Shahbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) may hold public meeting on November 30 but any elements attacking public property will be dealt with an iron fist.
Hamza said that the government will not object to any protest by PTI Chairman Imran Khan and “will continue the mission of revival of economy by completing energy projects,” according to a handout issued on Thursday.
During a ceremony to distribute cattle to the people who had lost their cattle during the recent flood in Wazirabad, Hamza said that for the first time in the history of the country, “the work of compensation of losses to the flood victims and provision of cattle is being carried out efficiently”. As many as 400 cattle, which including 270 cows, buffalos and 126 goats and sheep, were distributed among 53 flood victims.
He said that Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz had merely discharged his duty by helping the flood victims and had not done a favour for them.
The government will complete rehabilitation and repair work of all affected roads this year, he added.
KHAN BASHING:
The PML-N leader said “China is our sincere friend” the PTI chief’s “sit-in conspiracy” had caused economic losses to the country with the postponement of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to Pakistan.
“The nation has completely rejected the PTI chief’s conspiracy which started from Lahore,” said Hamza, adding that political people do not attack on the Parliament and state television.
“How can a person paying Rs100,000 as tax travel by airplane and bullet proof vehicles?” he questioned, adding that “Khan’s companions get protocol of 40 vehicles”.
“The Punjab government spent 80 percent of its education budget whereas the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government could spend only 20 percent of its allocated education budget.”
Hamza advised the PTI chief to do his own work and let the government do its own work “so that Pakistan can become a strong country”.
He said the Chinese leadership invited Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to China and signed agreements for energy projects.
“Cheap electricity will be generated through coal in Pakistan with the Chinese investment and destiny of the country will be changed by setting up of the economic corridor from Kashgar to Gwadar,” he said, adding that the project of a six-lane motorway from Karachi to Lahore “will serve as the economic backbone of the country”.
