‘No political worker arrested in Punjab’

Punjab Assembly member (MPA) Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan cannot understand the importance of a metro bus for the public as he (Khan) travels by a chartered plane.

The MPA also denied allegations that the govt had arrested political workers in Sargodha.

Commenting on Khan’s statement, Zaeem said, “Why does Khan not correct the affairs of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with a magic stick?”

He said that everyone is aware of the miseries of the people of KP.

“Sit-ins, public meetings, processions and protests are not the way of public service,” he said, adding that these only create chaos in the country.

He said that the educational and health budget of Punjab is more than KP province and despite being a province of big population, the educational and health situation in Punjab is better than that of other provinces.

Commenting on the statement of PTI leader Ijaz Chaudhry, Zaeem said that PTI office-bearers have been arrested on the allegation of selling fake medicines in Sargodha. He said that Ijaz, “like his party’s leadership, wants to get cheap popularity by leveling false allegations”. He advised Khan to stop patronizing loan defaulters, “Qabza groups” and forgers, adding that “not a single political worker has been arrested throughout Punjab”.
