With another feather in Pakistan’s cap, Pashto music legend Sardar Ali Takkar is set to perform at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony, private media reported.
Previously, legendary Pakistani Sufi signer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was also confirmed to perform at Nobel Prize ceremony.
Takkar, belonging to the same province as Malala Yousafzai, has been invited on the young Nobel Peace Prize Laureate’s wish.
The Pashto singer will be performing songs paying tribute to Malala’s courageous campaigning for education.
The ceremony is set to take place on December 10 in Oslo,Norway, where the young Pakistani educational activist Malala Yousafzai and India’s Kailash Satyarthi will receive Nobel Peace Prize for their work of promoting children’s rights.
