Three people, including a woman running a seminary were arrested on Wednesday following a recovery of around 26 young girls from a house in Liaquatabad Area of Karachi, a private news channel reported.
According to details, the girls; aging from eight to 10 years and hailing from Bajaur Agency,were students of a seminary in Karachi.
The female administrator of the seminary handed them over to a couple in Liaquatabad for them to bear their expenses after the couple failed to pay off a 0.3 million rupees loan they owed to her.
The couple and the woman have been arrested by the police and remain under interrogation to ascertain the whereabouts of the young girls’ families.
MQM leader Rauf Siddiqui visited the house and distributed gifts among children. The girls were shifted to a shelter home.
