As many as four persons were killed and six others injured in separate incidents of violence on Wednesday.
A Head Constable (HC) Ameer Khan, 52, son of Haji Zahid, was killed by unknown armed men in Mominabad, Quaid-e-Awam Colony, Orangi. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities. The motive behind the killing could not be ascertained yet.
In another incident, a man, Mukhtiar, 53, son of Syed Sajawal, resident of Nazimabad, was gunned down by unknown armed men in his estate agency office at Nazimabad-1. The body was shifted to ASH for medico-legal formalities. The motive behind the killing could not be ascertained yet.
Yet in another incident, a man, Parem, 20, son of Juman, was killed by unknown armed men in Ghagar Phatyak, Dhabeji area, near National Highway. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for an autopsy. The motive behind killing could not be ascertained yet.
Separately, the body of a tortured unidentified man, aged about 35, was found from Mai Garhi Chowk in Manghopir. The body was said to be seven-day old. It was shifted to ASH for medico-legal formalities.
Meanwhile, a teenager boy, Umar Farooq, 17, son of Athar Khan, was shot and injured by unidentified gunmen near Ghausia Galli in Paposh. He was shifted to ASH for treatment.
Moreover, another teenager boy, Waseem, 18, son of Aslam Masih, resident of Landhi, was shot and injured by unidentified armed men near Masihi graveyard, Sherpao area in Landhi. The injured was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for treatment.
Furthermore, a man, Gul Khan, 34, son of Amal Khan, resident of Nazimabad No 2 was shot and injured by unknown armed men in front of Rizvia police station. He was shifted to ASH for treatment.
However, an alleged robber, Mohammad Ghayas, 33, son of Ubaid-ul-Haq, was critically injured in public torture over his alleged involvement in robbery near Samnabad in FB Area block 17. He was shifted to ASH for treatment.
Samnabad police confirmed that accused was involved in the robbery during which the residents caught him. Police have registered an FIR against the accused and started further investigation.
A man, Sheeraz, 30, son of Muslim, resident of Banaras, was shot and injured by unknown armed men near KhyberBridge in Banaras. The injured was rushed to ASH for treatment.
A youth, Saleem, 28, son of Sharif, was shot and injured by unknown armed men in North Karachi Sector-5. The injured was shifted to ASH for treatment.
