Containers on roads leading to Red Zone removed

On the orders of the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, the Islamabad administration has removed containers unnecessarily placed in the Red Zone and some other roads of the capital much ahead of the November 30 PTI rally. These would be placed in Red Zone on 29th November for security purposes.

According to details, the Islamabad administration had placed containers on different routes leading to the Red Zone causing inconvenience to thousands of government employees and citizens.

When the information was passed on to the interior minister when he was meeting Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore last night, he immediately instructed for the removal of the containers.

Following the minister’s instructions, containers have been removed from F-6 Super Market, Margalla Road, NADRA Chowk, Islamabad Club Road, Convention Centre and Sarena Chowk which has eased the movement of the citizens.
